The city of St. Louis has many reputations depending on who you ask. But one thing that’s hard to deny is the city’s ability to bring people together.

The R&B Block Party was no exception.

From the moment I walked into the venue, it was clear that this experience was intentionally curated. Thousands gathered to enjoy an evening centered around music, community, and connection, creating an atmosphere that remained lively throughout the event.
While large crowds have never been my personal preference, there was no denying the excitement that filled the space. Everywhere I looked, people were dancing, connecting with friends, and fully embracing the experience.
Hosted by Tee Parks, the event’s entertainment lineup kept the energy high throughout the evening. As someone who thoroughly enjoys R&B, especially 90s R&B, DJ Kid Boogie and DJ Pooh understood the assignment.
Blending classics from the 90s and 2000s with current R&B favorites, the music created a soundtrack that resonated throughout the venue. Whether attendees were singing along, dancing with friends, or simply enjoying the atmosphere, the music remained at the center of the experience.
Combined with stage effects and Tee Parks’ ability to engage the crowd, the event maintained an energy that was felt throughout the evening. The response from attendees was so strong that another R&B Block Party was announced shortly after the event, giving fans something else to look forward to in the months ahead.
Beyond the music, attendees had plenty of opportunities to engage throughout the event. From oversized Jenga and foosball to basketball games and an “I Love R&B” photo opportunity, the experience offered more than just a place to dance.
Local vendors also contributed to the atmosphere, showcasing everything from tattoos and creative artwork to customized apparel and accessories. Food vendors were available throughout the venue, offering attendees a variety of options while enjoying the festivities. As a self-proclaimed crab cake enthusiast, I can confidently say the crab cakes earned a 10 out of 10 from me.
From St. Louis to the Metro East, the R&B Block Party brought together attendees from across the region. Throughout the venue, representations of local pride could be found in everything from conversations to fashion, reinforcing the event’s ability to connect people through a shared appreciation of music, culture, and community.
What stood out to me most about the R&B Block Party was the opportunity it created for people to simply enjoy themselves. Throughout the evening, content creators captured moments, friends gathered, strangers connected through music, and attendees embraced an atmosphere designed for good vibes and community.
For a few hours, people danced, laughed, sang along to familiar songs, and enjoyed the experience that had been intentionally created for them.
Through events like the R&B Block Party, Morgan Casey continues to demonstrate the power of bringing people together. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or attending for the first time, it’s easy to see why her events continue to resonate with so many throughout the St. Louis and Metro East region.
The event’s reach extended beyond local attendees. Among those who stopped by to show support were dancers known for their work with Chris Brown and Usher, adding another layer of excitement to an event that had already drawn significant attention throughout the region.
Their presence further highlighted the growing influence and appeal of experiences curated by Morgan Casey and the Things To Do In St. Louis brand.
The demand for the R&B Block Party was evident long before the night ended. With another event already announced, Morgan Casey and the Things To Do In St. Louis team are proving that the appetite for these experiences continues to grow.
