Returning to Angad Arts Hotel for Wellness Sunday

Angad Arts Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri, has always held a special place in my heart. Not because of the luxury it offers, but because it feels like a place designed with creativity in mind. As someone who lives a life deeply rooted in creativity, being introduced to a hotel like Angad Arts Hotel was something special from the very beginning.

I first visited the hotel during a birthday staycation and immediately found myself drawn to its artistic atmosphere and unique character. One of the details that stood out to me most was the way each floor is centered around a different color experience. Guests can choose between red, yellow, green, and blue themed floors, each creating its own distinct mood.

During my birthday stay, I intentionally chose the red floor. To me, red symbolizes confidence, empowerment, and celebration, making it the perfect fit for the season of life I was in at the time. It’s a small detail, but one that speaks to what makes Angad Arts Hotel so memorable. It isn’t just a place to stay. It invites you to connect with how you want to feel.

So when I learned that Angad Arts Hotel would be hosting Wellness Sundays throughout the summer, I immediately knew I wanted to be there.

This past Sunday, I attended Pilates with KeveBee Fitness, and what stood out to me most wasn’t the workout itself. It was the atmosphere. The experience felt welcoming from the moment it began. You didn’t have to be an expert in Pilates or arrive with years of experience. You simply had to be willing to show up for yourself.

In a world that often makes wellness feel intimidating or exclusive, this felt different. It felt approachable. It felt encouraging. It felt like an open invitation to move your body at your own pace while surrounded by a community doing the same.

Initially, the Pilates session was scheduled to take place on the rooftop. However, thanks to the humidity of Midwest weather, Keve made the decision to move the class indoors to one of the hotel’s studio spaces, which turned out to be the best decision possible.

As women began filling the room, there was an undeniable sense of excitement and anticipation. Participants of all fitness levels gathered with a common goal: to show up for themselves and move their bodies with intention.

One thing I immediately appreciated was Keve’s encouraging teaching style. As someone who has been attending Pilates classes for over a year, primarily at the YMCA, I felt comfortable with many of the movements. However, incorporating resistance bands into the workout was a new challenge for me. While it pushed me outside of my comfort zone, it was also a refreshing reminder that growth often happens when we allow ourselves to try something different.

What I loved most was that the class managed to be both challenging and enjoyable. Rather than feeling intimidated, I felt encouraged. The environment created space for everyone to participate at their own pace while still being challenged to give their best effort.

After about 45 minutes of challenging my body in ways I hadn’t previously experienced in Pilates, we rolled up our mats and began to mingle. One of the things I appreciated most about the experience was that the sense of community didn’t end when the workout was over.

No one seemed to be in a rush to leave. Instead, participants stayed behind to talk, connect, and take photos with Keve. The atmosphere remained just as welcoming after class as it had been during it, which made the experience feel even more special.

As we made our way out, we were treated to a variety of beverages from Main Squeeze Juice Co. St. Louis. Known for offering wellness focused drinks without sacrificing flavor, Main Squeeze Co. provided the perfect refreshment after an energizing workout. I chose the Detox drink, and it was the ideal way to end a Sunday morning centered around movement, wellness, and self care.

One thing I’ve learned throughout my wellness journey is that self care doesn’t have to be complicated. More often than not, it simply requires the willingness to show up for yourself.

After all, every journey begins with a first step, and sometimes that step looks as simple as saying yes to a new experience, walking through the door, and giving yourself permission to prioritize your well being.

If you’re looking for a way to invest in yourself this summer, I highly recommend checking out Wellness Sundays at Angad Arts Hotel. From fitness classes to wellness experiences, the summer series offers a variety of opportunities to move your body, connect with others, and pour back into yourself. Follow Angad Arts Hotel Here

Keve will be returning for another Pilates class on June 20, and if this experience was any indication, it’s one you won’t want to miss. Be sure to follow the hotel on Instagram for upcoming Wellness Sunday events and additional details throughout the summer.
